So finally here is what I got yesterday....
I didn't post as I got completely engrossed in eating post Christmas bad stuff and drinking copious amounts of alcohol while watching random TV.
I bought 2 shadows from Mac - Nehru (grey/matt/blacky colour) I do own quite a lot of blackish shadows but none are as matt as this. The other one is Sroom - mainly because the wonderful guru Kandee J uses it quite a lot and when I spotted it, I thought it was such a nice subtle colour.
I got a black paintpot from Mac - I am the diva of the black eyeliner. I have since I was about 15 always worn a black line on my top lash. I feel naked without it. So I literally can draw this line without even looking. I never fail to impress party guests with this trick.
So I bought a paintpot to give it a try so will see how I get on.
Finally I got a bobbi brown lip pencil in ballet pink. I normally buy brown liners but this was such a pretty shade that I had to have it. I tried it and it looks lovely and is very moist. ooh la lah! Some liners can be a bit drying and slightly flaky so I am pleased with this!
Oh and I stumbled on a revelation this weekend - someone bought me a set with something called a shadowliner in. Looks like a liquid liner pen but it has a clear mixture in it - you can use it with any shadow to create a line. Its genius. Will have a play with it and post some pics I think.
Now, if i could just get me some friends - I feel ever so lonely here in this big ole rambling blog. IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE???
Just one friend - that's all I need.
Oh yeah - Diet for the New Year commences in T minus 2 days.......

I did me some shopping

I braved the car queues and the rude looks as I crammed my car into the smallest spot possible in the car park and did me some shopping!
There was tons to choose from but as I got quite a bit for Xmas I restricted my spending. I am a very very good girl you should know.
So here's what I got and I will post later about what they are...
Is off to Cheshire oaks....
There may be some purchasing happening.
They have a huge shop that sells stilla, Mac, bobbi brown etc so I am
hoping to get some stuff.

Christmas purchases, the good the bad and the goddamn ugly
Ah Christmas - a time for giving, a time for sharing. A time for opening packages and trying out. There are 2 routes that my gifts can go down.
Love them - they are then used to death and are never out of my sight
Hate them - they live in a box under my bed/in wardrobe in spare room until I can fob them off to a friend/neighbour/window cleaner.
So this years winners were:-
Tiffany bracelet from the man
Orange exfoliator from clarins again from said man. Had this product before so know its a winner but on its second outing, I am thinking its not so great at getting all the grime off.
Lovely product from lush called Angels on bare skin. Not a fan of lush at all. Just as I don't see the point in using something that smells like fruit and leaves a residue in my bath but I thought lets give it a try. And y'know what - its actually pretty damn good. Yes it does feel like I am rubbing cat food on my face and yes it does slip out of your hand when mixing with water but my skin feels freakin amazing since starting to use it.
Bledning brush from Revlon - never had me one of these babies before. Never actually thought I needed one. But as it was a gift I thought heck give it a go. My makeup has been transformed from Dame Edna to more Lady Gaga. Seriously - this brush rocks. Had comments twice today on how good my make up is looking!
And now for the not so good......
Benefit creaseless eyeshadow - get figgy. Nice idea and looks like a nice colour but not much payoff in terms of it being dramatic.
Lancome oscillation mascara - gold. Nice concept and brush moving is a great idea but unless you are ziggy stardust, I am not sold on this product at all. Just made my mascara look duller. Will be great for fancy dress!
Finally - gucci black leather purse - its a continental wallet and looks lovely. I love me some gucci and have a zillion bags/purses but this is just not practical. It has a press stud opening on the section for change and when I pop it in my bag it just opens too easily and the change falls out. Advice - get one that fastens better. I have both the continental wallet with the larger fastening with bamboo detail and the flap french wallet and they work much better!
There now, that wasn't too painful was it?

I'm here, I have finally arrived!
So here I am. After several years in lurkdom I have come out of hiding and decided that my life will now not only be filled with random purchases but now blogging about said purchases. The worrying thing for me is that if I start writing down what I actually buy this might terrify me and my husabnd may leave me.
So weher to start - I am a mid 30 mother of one. Professional married and serial spender. I loooovvvvvveeeee buying things. I spend money I don't have. I love new things in a bag in the front seat of my car.
I love anything new. Be it designer, high street, market, charity shop. My fave buys are handbags and makeup. I am not a professional makeup artist. But I love makeup and for the first 4 years of my relasionship with my husband I would wake at 6am to apply full on slap so he couldn't see me au naturel. I gave birth wearing at least 12 products.
So why am I here you may ask. Well I have spent the last 12 months engrossed in watching youtube clips of people applying and reviewing makeup and associated products and have become obessed. I love Kandee Johnson, Pixiwoo, Lollipop26 - these girls don't know it but I am practically stalking them ;)
I sat here looking at my new purchases following the Christmas sales and thought hey you know what, I buy a heck of a lot of stuff that maybe just maybe people might want to hear about..... so here we go. Welcome to my world! xxxxxxxxx mwahhhhh xxxxxxxxxx
